As part of the tribute to Peter Weibel, this audio-reactive visual piece was created to honor his profound influence on media art and theory. The work was presented during a commemorative event organized by ZKM, bringing together colleagues, artists, and thinkers from across disciplines to celebrate his legacy.

Concept

In collaboration with Ludger Brümmer (ZKM), who composed the music for the occasion, this piece responds in real time to the audio, creating a meditative, immersive environment. Drawing from the ZKM archive, the visuals were composed using fragments of Weibel’s extensive body of work—transforming historical materials into a living visual tribute.

The installation reflected Peter Weibel’s lifelong commitment to experimental media, interactivity, and the intersection of art and technology. The visuals pulsed, shifted, and evolved with the sound, offering an ephemeral and poetic homage to his legacy.
